Today I will be giving you the recipe for egg nog French toast. This makes a great Christmas morning breakfast and in fact has been the Christmas morning breakfast in our house for 11 years! “Egg nog French toast”
■1 cup egg nog
■1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
■6-10 slices of bread
●heat griddle or frying pan on low. Pour milk into a 4 cup measuring cup. Add eggs and nutmeg. Whisk until well blended. Pour into a rectangular baking dish or pie plate.
●put 2 pieces of bread into the ‘eggnog’ mixture. Let soak and then turn the bread over to make sure both sides get covered. Once the bread is soggy with the ‘eggnog’ mixture, put the bread on the hot skillet. Put 2 more pieces of bread in the mixture.
●after 2 minutes of cooking, flip bread over to cook on other side. Once both sides are cooked, your bread is finished. Put on a cookie sheet and place in oven at ○150F to keep warm. Use up all of your mixture and continue placing on cookie sheet. Serve.
Makes 6-10 servings depending on how much bread you use.
